THE JÁN KOREC FOUNDATION
(NJK)
The foundation was established on 22nd April 2003 in memory of Ing. Ján Korec, who was known for the fact that he extended a helping hand as soon as a request for help was made. The Ján Korec Foundation was created as a symbol of his tremendous genero-sity and willingness to help all in need. The Ján Korec Foundation was establi-shed to support science and education, support talented students from a weak social background, development of children and youth, support of physical education and sport and provision of individually designated humanitarian aid.
In the years that the Ján Korec Foundation has been in existence, it has supported more than 250 projects in all areas of its endeavour.

„The Mission of the Ján Korec Foundation is based on the conviction that education is the best asset of a young person. Our mission is to support students mainly in technical branches to develop their education and enable them acquire practical skills via realisa-tion of various projects and hence contribute to their future knowledge and awareness of economics based on the development of human resources. Apart from its major mission, the Ján Korec Foundation also has an interest in the fulfilment of individually designated aid for the individual or groups of persons, as well as help in the develop-ment and protection of spiritual and cultural values.“
